Historical notes of the company

Historical notes about the company
Angelo Mangiapane started its activity in 1960 when he opened a quarry in Trapani for the extraction of Perlato di Sicilia: an ivory marble with variable granulometry whose veins are characterized by ochre nuances with brown grains and chips of different intensity.
The successes obtained allowed him to open, after accurate checks, a second quarry in 1968 for the extraction of a new material: the Perlatino di Sicilia.

In 1970 the CUS.MAR. s.a.s. was born and added to the mining activity the trade and export of marble all over the world. After three years the company, in a continuous process of expansion, opened another quarry of Perlatino.

The process of expansion of the company was characterized in 2000 by its most important change, the CUS.MAR. s.a.s. becomes CUS.MAR. s.r.l. and, thanks to its skilled managerial staff with a lot of experience in the field of foreign relations, has projected more and more its business activity towards the internationalisation that characterise the marble sector.

CUS.MAR. deals with both extraction and processing activity of Perlato, Perlatino di Sicilia and of materials purchased in the rest of Italy and abroad.
