Custonaci is an agricultural town in the province of Trapani with more that 4,600 inhabitants. Its territory includes the high peak of Mount Sparagio (more than 1.100 meters tall) where there is a huge green lung, the Giacalamaro wood.

The economy of the town is mainly based on the extraction and processing of marble: this activity allows to get some important varieties of marble including the Perlato di Sicily, the Avorio venato e fiorito, the Perlatino and the Botticino.
